Something To Rescue are an Australian Pop band creating a unique blend of contemporary soul pop.
Having consistently sold out headline shows since their inception in 2013, the band have built a dedicated fan base following a string of releases and interstate touring.
Handpicked to support We The Kings at the start of the year, the band have recently released their third EP 'When I Come Home'. Written by band members James, Julian and Lucas, the songs on 'When I Come Home' are the product of a new musical direction, and they are proof that the band have come a long way from when they began five years ago.
Lead singer and guitarist James Cummings says the band’s new direction was influenced by some of their favourite artists such as James Bay and Maroon 5, and they hoped to create a more natural sound.
“We’ve tried to develop our music further by introducing gospel inspired melodies and harmonies, as well as a range of natural percussion and production techniques,’ says James.
“Our new music has been a long time coming so we hope our fans enjoy the new songs and this new direction’.
The band have just released a video for the single ‘Once In A Lifetime’ off of their latest EP, which was created as part of the 2018 Clip It initiative by Music SA and the Media Resource Centre. With plans to record and release more singles within the coming months, Something To Rescue are headed for big things in the near future.
